Tax Facts, launched in July 2015, is HMRC’s tax education programme for young people. It has been designed to educate primary and secondary school aged children about how public money is raised and spent and to introduce them, in an interactive and engaging way, to their future responsibilities as taxpayers.

Gwers ryngweithiol yw ‘Ffeithiau Treth’ sydd wedi ei chynllunio i helpu pobl ifanc i ddeall y system dreth a’r rôl y mae treth yn ei chwarae mewn cyflogaeth.
Mae’r wers wedi ei chreu i ddysgwyr 14 i 17 oed i’w cefnogi wrth iddyn nhw ddechrau paratoi ar gyfer y byd gwaith, gan gynnwys unrhyw waith rhan amser neu waith yn ystod y gwyliau o 16 oed ymlaen.
Byddan nhw’n dysgu popeth am y system dreth, y gwahanol fathau o drethi a goblygiadau peidio â thalu treth. Byddan nhw hefyd yn dysgu sut mae treth yn cael ei chasglu wrth ddechrau eich busnes eich hun neu drwy TWE wrth weithio i gyflogwr.
Mae’r cynllun gwers Ffeithiau Treth yn cynnwys arweiniad ar sut i ddefnyddio’r fideos ochr yn ochr â’r gweithgareddau. Mae amcanion y wers yn cefnogi elfennau amrywiol y cwricwlwm sy’n gysylltiedig â chynllunio ar gyfer bywyd a gwaith y dyfodol a bod yn ddinasyddion cyfrifol.

Junior Tax Facts is an interactive lesson designed to introduce children to the subject of taxation.
Children will learn that taxes are the money that people and businesses have to pay the government in order to pay for the things that are important to us and our families, our local communities and the country.
The lesson introduces the idea that as responsible citizens we all make small contributions towards the things that benefit everyone.
The Junior Tax Facts lesson plan includes guidance on how to use the videos alongside activities for two different age groups: ages 8 to 11 and 11 to 13.
The lesson objectives support aspects of the curriculum for both age groups.

Tax Facts is an interactive lesson designed to help young people understand the tax system and the role tax plays when in employment.
The lesson has been created for students aged 14 to 17 to support them as they start to prepare for the world of employment, including any part time or holiday work from the age of 16.
They will learn all about the tax system, different kinds of taxes and the implications of not paying tax. They will also learn how tax is collected when starting your own business or through PAYE with an employer.
The Tax Facts lesson plan includes guidance on how to use the videos alongside the activities. The lesson objectives support various aspects of the curriculum related to planning for future life and work and being responsible citizens.
